
By simply Clicking on any Plant object in the landscape plan the information previously entered concerning the plant is instantly displayed on the screen. As you make plant purchases, you can enter all the relevant data concerning the plant into the Database, Botanical Name, Common Name, Cost, Where Purchased, When Planted etc and any other relevant information you may wish to enter If a plant is Transplanted to another area, you only need to Drag and Drop the Plant object in its correct position. If a plant dies you can Delete the plant from the plan and remove the information from the database. ![]() If you forget where a plant was placed in the garden, you only need to Search the Database for the record and then ask the database to Highlight where it is on the plan. You can have plans up to Twice the Width of your screen and up to Twice the Depth of your screen. You can use the Zoom function to view the entire plan on the screen. There are 340+ Objects in Two Libraries supplied and these can be Added to by the user. The Grids are user definable. You can select
the Grid Size and Colour together with the measurement
settings of Metric or Imperial. There are Rulers
to assist you to Draw to Scale and the Mouse Cursor
Position is shown both in the Menu Bar and on the
Rulers making drawing to scale a breeze. The plans can be Printed out to Any Paper Size that your printer supports. The plan will be Scaled to fit the chosen paper size. You can print the Whole plan or if you are using a plan that is larger then the screen, you can print the plan in Plan view (entire plan) or separately in the four sectors. There is a Print Preview with the ability to Manipulate the plan Size and Position on the paper, add Borders or your Letterhead etc. You can simulate Plant Growth by selecting the number of Years, then watch you garden Grow. You can Auto-Generate an Object Legend from within a project. You can Measure areas of a plan with the Measurement and/or Angle shown in the Task bar PlantCAD is a very functional module and takes the place of all those hand drawn plans of your house and garden or those of your Clients.
