Eremophila is an Australian Native plant
comprising well
over 200 species from the Arid and Semi-arid regions.
They are known as Desert Loving as derived from the
Greek eremos (desert) and Philo (Love).
Whist they can endure very hot, dry periods without rain
in their natural habitats, quite a number have been able
to be adapted to grow in the Home Garden situation,
saving costly water bills.
